For me atleast 15 Pro is the Peak Iphone because of Usb C combined with Always on Display. If it were not for the Usb C 14 Pro would be the Peak Iphone. Also 24MP default Photos, 8gb Ram are just more cherries on top and not to forget that recently announced apple intelligence thing being only limited 15 Pro and later. I bought my 15PM in January and i think i have upgraded to a right iteration of iphone which would last me for the next 7 years. Yes am that guy who does not upgrade until the phone breaks apart or does not work anymore. My next upgrade would probably be in 2030 or 2031.

Yeah I guess everybody will have their opinion but I think the iPhone 13 mini was the peak of iPhones. Part of the reason I say the mini was the peak is cuz it was kind of like the last real phone since then we've all moved on to kind of like mini tablets that we carry in our pocket but Minnie was still a phone anyway I'll be keeping mine until it no longer runs or is no longer supported.

You can run it on a G3, but there’s a few caveats, first off you need to have the original 2003 PPC release because of a VRAM check that was added to the universal binary release that doesn’t exist in the original version (no iMac G3 has the required Vram officially) and in the Mac port, you can also hold down the p key to basically make it run even if the cpu isn’t powerful enough (except it will stop you in the later versions bc of that vram check that I mentioned) you’ll be met with a pretty bad mess of the VRAM struggling to upload textures but a glorious mess at that, the only person I’ve ever seen do it is Matt Casey and he did it on a 500 MHz model with 8 MB of VRAM, I have a 600 MHz model myself with 16 MB of VRAM that I will actually try to run halo on soon

I think people overestimate the first iPhone. In 2009 I was still using a feature phone and so was everyone I knew. It was with iPhone 4 I got in and most other people I know got in around iPhone 4-6 era. Might be different in different regions but the first 3 iPhones barely made a dent here although they laid the groundwork for their later success.

I think the peak of iPhone was either the 5s or 6s, but can't quite decide between the 2.

Totally agree that the first iPhone didn't get many updates, although, how many phones do you know then that were easy to update? Getting new features, an app store added on later. After buying the phone you didn't just have to go and get the latest version just for one change. So yeah, completely agree with putting this one in a. It really was something special, but compared to now with updates and how it performs, not so good. I just think it’s mad how we had that back then on a phone, and fair play to Apple. The Dynamic Island is the biggest gimmick Apple ever brought to an iphone. Its not only really distracting but its even just useless. There are a few functions that could be seen as “nice looking” but other than that it doesnt enhance the ios experience by any means. I had to return the 14 pro max cause i hated that pill that distracted me everytime i wanted to play a game or watch something on my iPhone. I wish apple would just have reduced the size of the notch or even get rid of it without adding another one even lower in the screen and thet can get even bigger… compared to an android it looks so outdated

iPhone 13 Pro being the first iPhone with a high refresh-rate display should not be underrated. It is the sole reason me and several friends switched to apple at that exact point in time. Specifically for this one feature.

Putting the 13 Pro below the base model 13 is borderline criminal. 120 hz screen for the first time ever, 3x optical zoom, legendary battery life, Sierra Blue color… Bro didn’t cook at all. Update: I watched further into the video and saw he moved up the 13 Pro. Still not where it deserves to be, but better 😂

15 series was the first time I was tempted to switch from Android. For that alone I woukd put it in the A tier.

I absolutely love my switch. It’s an amazing console for the living room with a wide variety of couch coop games and a fantastic library of singleplayer titles also . Even if the switch 2 is on the way, I won’t be ditching my switch for many many years if at all

your only L here is the 15s are below the 14 pro. Yes the 14 pro got the Dynamic Island & i do think it isn’t a gimmick but that alone isn’t enough to justify it when comparing to other iphones but other then that i agree with the rest of this list

Now for my ten cents worth: coincidentally, I had JUST watched this ad & quite honestly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Sure, even I had to cringe a little as I witnessed some of those beautiful & rare objects being destroyed, but hey, it's only an advertisement right! Plus, I think Apple achieved EXACTLY what they set out to achieve, and that was to get publicity. Well, that certainly worked. And regarding Josh's comment about Apple being "one of the most valuable companies in the world" ... hmmm, valuable? Oh, you mean its net worth, not its value to the human race, which is questionable =)

Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but the 5c was at least a D tier iPhone, max C tier. The colors were fun, many people got introduced to iPhone with it because of the huge depreciation; and, yes, granted, 8GB is nothing, but it wasn't an option when the 5c was first released in 2013.

Base iPhone 15 in D is wild 😭it’s easily the biggest jump with a base iPhone in years, basically a 14 pro with 60 hz. Easily B tier, possibly A for me

I personally think that the iPhone, and most smartphones to be honest, peaked (or more accurately, leveled off) around the end of the last decade so around the Xs or 11 series. The change with the iPhone X was huge and the hype around it was even bigger then the Xs came along which was an S upgrade so there was not much change (even if S upgrades were usually more substantial). The iPhone 11 Pro was, in my opinion, the last major leap before the iPhone leveled off with the improved cameras, dramatically improved battery life and the display improvements. It was the last iPhone to come with the accessories and the only iPhone to come with the fast charger. Even the designed remained roughly the same with the triple camera bump, frosted glass and centered apple logo (the squared sides that we see today would come with the 12 series though).

The 14 Pro a C versus the 15 Pro a D? Dude I think thats wrong. The only update in the 14 was the dynamic island and that’s it. The battery was bad, still a lighting port and was the same design just like the 13 and 12. The 15 Pro for me is the first gaming iPhone, specially with the new neural engine (and now more with iOS 18 and AI), battery is great, a little more screen space, finally USB C 3 and maybe the titanium was a plus, but thats personal. The 14 series was Apple really launching an iPhone only because they have to.
